Lymington, 26th December 2023

 Lymington is situated on The Solent in Hampshire.  The photos were taken from the Solent Way, which is a trail of 101 kilometres from Milford-on-Sea to Emsworth and is part of the 5000 kilometre European Coastal Path. The photo shows the view towards the Isle of Wight. A few photos of a Little Egret just outside Lymington marina.

Blandford Railway Viaduct

  Blandford railway viaduct from Stour meadows on 22nd November 2023. The Blandford railway viadict across the River Stour was part of the Somerset and Dorset Railway from Bath to Poole.  It was built around 1880 and the line was closed in 1966.  It seems it was open to goods traffic until 1969 and  wasn't demolished until 1978. https://www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/news/16694829.remembering-blandford-bridge-demolition-40-years-ago/

Flooding at Ringwood 2nd November 2023

There is flooding in Eastfield Lane around the junctions with Ash Grove and Hightown Road this morning after Storm Ciaran brought heavy rain.
